Valentines Ideas

I found this really great site that has fun ideas. It has some cute Valentines Day ideas. Fun stuff!

Mom's Cheese Ball

This recipe has been a family favorite for as long as I can remember. I made it recently and received many requests for the recipe so I thought I'd share it here. It's is surprisingly simple with few ingredients but very very good!

2-8oz. pkg of cream cheese
1 5oz. jar of old english cheese (found by the velveta and cheese whiz products)
1/2 small onion chopped very fine
1 cup chopped walnuts
Fresh chopped parsley

Mix everything in your mixer except parsley until well blended. Spoon onto center of serving plate then shape into a ball. Press chopped parsley all over the cheese ball and put in the fridge to chill. Serve with Ritz crackers.

Christmas Eve idea

My daughter, Brandi brought this home today. She is in the special ed program at Basha high and they make things like this to sell. (It keeps the kids busy). They have them in the office on a table. Some other really cute things too.

Here's a fun idea to do with your kids for Christmas Eve. I have done it the last 3 years and even though most of my kids are older they love to do it. You sprinkle the "Magic Reindeer Food" on your lawn to help the reindeer find your home. You put oats and some glitter (for the magic part, it makes your lawn sparkle in the moonlight) in a baggie. The poem says: Sprinkle on the lawn at night. The moon will make it sparkle bright. As Santa's reindeer fly and roam. This will guide them to your home.
These are also fun, cheap gifts to give friends, neighbors & people you visit teach.

Stocking Stuffers

OK this is kinda random but I thought I would post anyways. I have about 12 things of toothpaste tubes. Colgate and Crest.....
I would love giving these away for anybody for stocking stuffers or if you just need some toothpaste. Just respond to this post and I can either email you how to pick up or drop off.. I have sisters that live all over that I see frequently so if you live closer to them I will drop them off their for pick up.
Merry Christmas!!!

Christmas idea

Here's an easy idea that's cheap to do. Get small baggies - They are called Bagettes and found in small boxes at your craft store. I used the 3" X 5" ones for these. Fill them with a little shredded/crinkled colored paper also found at the craft stores. Fill with candy. Cut your paper to fit the size of your baggie. If you have stamps you can use them or you can use clipart from the computer to decorate the top. I added a square of colored paper behind the stamped paper for more color. Fold the decorated paper tops and staple to the top of the baggie. I use cardstock for the paper. You can use this idea year round - just use different clipart/stamps and paper. They make cute gifts for school teachers, your kids friends, & great for the people you visit teach. Last year I made some with sandwich bags & quart size bags and put hot chocolate packets with stir sticks, marshmallows and candy canes in them.
